Forgiven

  The Stone's Silent Question

The silence stretched, thick and heavy.

A calm and steady voice came from heaven's passageway:

He, without sin! One by one, the rocks slipped out of the hand of her accuser:

The ripple effect is not water but a contrite spirit full of regret and sadness.

Etched on each stone is a question  carrying a negative name-

They quietly walked away, feeling shame, guilt, and pain for their behavior.

Redemption, a whispered promise, hung like a threadbare tapestry,

its colors muted by doubt and

despair.

It was a covenant, broken and mended like shattered glass pieced back together,

the cracks still  visible,

shimmering with the ghost of what was.

But today, it is a testament to God's forgiveness for humanity.
